The whole issue of interoprability , backward and forward compatibility are what makes me think Korea
would still be committed to CDMA 2000. It makes no sense whatsoever to go WCDMA. Aside from
technical attributes compatibility is the most compelling reason to consider CDMA2000.

Why would Korea back CDMA 2000 now? With new spectrum, they have everything to gain by posturing with WCDMA short term. (negotiations, playing both sides of the fence). It looks like no final decision will be made until September. A change back to CDMA 2000 could have a domino effect in Asia.

Our next hurdle will be working through the inevitable bugs and glitches of 2.5G. You know the GSM camp will play this up

Anyone think DDI or Unicom might reneg on CDMA2000 and posture with WCDMA?
