Olu, buy on split announcements? >Draper, Utah, July 10 (Bloomberg) -- 1-800 Contacts Inc. expects earnings to double in 2000, Investor's Business Daily reported. Chief Executive Jonathan Coon said he expects the company to sell about $140 million in contact lenses this year, a 40 percent increase over last year. About 40 percent of the company's orders now are placed through its Web site instead of over the phone, the paper said. In April, the Draper, Utah-based company said first-quarter profit rose to 29 cents from 5 cents a year earlier as sales rose 41 percent to $31.4 million.
