Law is always backed by coercion. It is only a question of whether the law is reasonable or not. Any regime may have laws with which we disagree, the real question is whether or not there is room to seek their repeal. But the main thing to remember is that democracy cannot survive if there is not a chance for all sorts of positions to win. One may deplore the electoral socialism of the Democratic left wing, but it is better than communist guerillas in the Blue Ridge.......
