KWG Resources Inc - Spider receives additional Kyle results KWG Resources Inc KWGR Shares issued 82,200,128 2000-07-04 close $0.13 Monday Jul 10 2000 See Spider Resources Inc (SPQ) News Release Mr. Norman Brewster reports Spider Resources and joint venture partner, KWG Resources Inc., has received additional diamond results from the recent diamond drilling of the Kyle No. 3 kimberlite located in the James Bay lowlands of Northern Ontario. The Kyle No. 3 kimberlite is located approximately 120 kilometres west of the Victor kimberlite currently being bulk sampled by Monopros Ltd. LakeField Research has completed the caustic dissolution processing of the initial 36 samples submitted in late April, which represent a complete set of results from the first two holes. They have begun processing the remaining 51 samples selected from holes 2000-03 through to 2000-07 which have a total weight of approximately 1,225 kilograms. A total of 854.22 kilograms of kimberlite was processed from the first two holes in the recent program, yielding 670 diamonds of which 29 were collected on a 425-micron screen. The results of these and previous intersections on the Kyle No. 3 kimberlite are tabulated below:

Note that this grade is from microdiamond and macrodiamond analysis of all of the kimberlite core submitted from the respective hole. The recent drill program was designed to define and investigate this kimberlite along its entire strike length (currently estimated by geophysics to be 700 metres) and also drilled to a vertical depth of 200 metres. The seven drill holes totalled 1,599 metres and each hole intersected kimberlite. The results of hole 2000-02 suggest additional zones of diamond enrichment that lie slightly north of the main zone of mineralization in the kimberlite. This particular hole was drilled from north to south at -70 degrees, undercutting hole 2000-01, however at a depth of 227 metres the hole was lost due to technical problems in drilling, as the drill rods jammed in a highly brecciated kimberlite. The drill rods needed to be cut with a downhole blasting procedure to recover the remaining rods. This hole therefore ended up being slightly short of the intended target zone extrapolated from two other holes on the section (holes 95-43 and 2000-01 in the table above). This kimberlite continues to be interpreted as a dike-like body with many distinct zones including one continuous (possibly late-stage) phase that is shown to have elevated diamond content. An additional two phases containing elevated diamond counts are now evident. Upon receipt of the results from the remaining 51 samples further drilling will be commenced to test the kimberlite through section 100 metres east. In addition, a further hole will be drilled on section 500 metres east with the intent of intersecting the target zone intended by hole 2000-02 by drilling from south to north.
