<<ADD is being studied.>> There are definitely people in the population of students carrying the A.D.D. label who have disabilities, probably a minority at this point. There are also many who are socially, psychologically, and economically needy and would be better classified as behaviorally disturbed or socially maladaptive. Since most states do not consider these conditions as disabilities (they are correctable) then they are not fundable for services in the public system. Nope much easier to slap a disability label on the kids, throw them all together in a "resource" program and "serve" them....Whipped cream with a cherry on top. Hold the nuts please.

Watch for a new label to arrise some time during this decade. Happens every time the public starts to catch on.
