Recidivism is very high among persons who enter treatment programs from obesity to alcoholism. The reverse is true for persons who make a decision on their own to take control over their situation. I don't know of too many alcoholics (Dean Martin excepted) who get rich being labeled with a disease. I have seen lots of professional grant proposal writers going for the program funding.
