This one was one of the most interesting comments. I thought we were well into Phase Five. <g>
It looks like it is a real step in the works instead of just empty words for the investment community. That has me excited. It could be why JDSU seems fearless in entering such mergers--in terms of how it could hurt the stock price.

This phase four is such a mystery. I cannot image what it is. I can only speculate that it has to do something with metro market. Could there be a huge R and D project that is in the works that could change the optical business? Could it be related to wireless? I guess we will have to stay tuned. At least it keeps me speculating.

Pat, Thanks for posting the transcript of the conference call. I did not realize you could get this from SEC filings.
