The people who clear land mines are heros (and heroines). Would you be opposed to a memorial for them?

You probably see what I'm getting at. To the Jews in concentration camps, I think the American soldiers who fought in World War II were heroes, too. And to the slaves in the South, I think the American soldiers who fought in the Civil War were heroes, too. I have an ancestor who fought with Galvez on the Spanish side in the Revolutionary War. Most people don't even know there was a Spanish side in the Revolutionary War (they assisted the revolutionaries behind the English lines along the Mississippi.) It's not easy, or right, to dismiss war heroes, and those that died in battle. They were mostly just boys doing what they thought was right. I want to remember them. When I see a monument, I always stop to read the names.
