The compensation question for what was nationalised in the '50s - not all the claims are justified imho ... some are, but a good part of the 'US assets' had been acquired by bribing Batista

Personally, I think the idea of compensation for nationalized assets is a bit ridiculous, since we are happily doing business all over the world with other people who nationalized assets without compensation.

The past is gone, it's pointless to let it get in the way of a better future.

I don't think Cuban communism will be overthrown by secret agents or hidden plots. I expect that it will be undone by the same combination that sank Russian communism, and is sinking Chinese communism: the combination of the people's desire for a more materially rewarding life and the inability of a socialist economy to provide that life.
