UnB, This is the biggest problem with the MAX system: fickle signals. Of course, this is a problem with any intraday system, or EOD system for that matter. But with a mechanical signal, like MAX's, reversal will sometimes erase the signal. That is why backtesting produces such phenomenal results which are not always captured in real trading. Some solutions: trade only stocks with low hourly ranges, but large weekly ranges; check the charts only once per hour so you don't panic at every little cross/uncross; trade only at significant crosses (0.2, say).
