That is exactly what they are trying to do which you will find out if you read Fault Line, is what Moore would advise them to do. In his new book, Moore goes into tactics that can be used to defeat the gorilla candidate. Spreading FUD is one that is powerful and effective. The long term effects of gorilla power, when understood by a King or Chimp, are to be avoided at all cost by the opposing value chain members. Vaporware is another powerful mechanism used in marketplace warfare.

I wouldn't be surprised if we aren't seeing the unfolding of a classical case study. Years later Qcom may give us all "I was there" ribbons<g>.(You might surmise I think Q will win this one)
