This article sounds like their still using their clustering expertise, just leveraging the current trend toward Windows NT and cheaper computing. biz.yahoo.com I think it would be a big mistake to move the focus of their core strengths in clustering and fault tolerant systems to butt heads with the big database companies. Haven't read the San Jose article yet, so don't have an opinion on that so far.
