"High power costs force closure of U.S. molybdenum-copper mine
New York--July 10--The Continental molybdenum-copper mine in Butte, Mont.,
was closed Sunday, falling victim to ballooning electricity costs in the United
States which have increased costs of production, a spokesman for co-owner Grupo
Mexico confirmed. Any restart will not only be dependent on lower energy costs
but also the resolution of the root cause of the power problem, he said."

I have pasted this from SH, I haven't confirmed the item.
The cheap cost of electricity is one of the prime reasons I like First Quantum. Their elec costs in Zambia are around 2.4cus per kwh.
Also today Noranda stock in Canada is up 75c to $15.40
