Jon Tara: No doubt about it manipulation is a "tactic". But just because a tactic may be legal does not make it right. Sure those "spoof" bids/asks can be hit, but the changes are very slim that they will be hit and anyone that trades a lot knows that.

ECN and message boards have brought manipulation down a few more steps on the manipulation ladder. Now even individual investors can play the manipulation game.

I think MM should be required to show their true hand and not be allowed to conceal their true intention by just "showing" 100 shares on Level II no matter what the actual number. That ruling change by the NASDAQ was in fact a further opening of the manipulation door.

I agree with Anthony Elgindy, the NASDAQ is indeed corrupt, but so is the NYSE. Now let's get past this bickering about whether manipulation occurs, anyone with half a brain KNOWS IT DOES. If you are going to trade and or invest in the market you have to learn how trade and or invest around it, period!
