The income tax differs because it is an anti-wealth tax. It discourages the creation of wealth. It encourages consumption and discourages creation. Instead of being caught up in the "tradition" of paying income tax, just because it's been around for 83 years, why not consider the elimination of a tax and a system that discourages the creation of wealth and look at one that would encourage it? cats.org
