Haha, Intel is cutting the price of 1GHz PIIIs to $450 nearly two months after AMD will drop the price of the 1GHz Athlon to $495. Does Intel really think they have caught up to AMD? Those 1.13GHz SAMPLES sure are scaring me!

And did you notice the article also said the 1.1GHz PIII will come out in Slot format? Intel was supposed to be moving to socket parts. Is Intel having cooling problems with these faster processors? Do these GHz PIIIs require a brick on their back to run properly? But didn't someone point out something about about no fan with 1GHz PIIIs? jajajaja
