They have done a good job with an old core not expected to ever yield at the speeds they are getting out of it. The Celeron IIs are a good vehicle for low speed Coppermines that otherwise would find the dumpster. Not so good having to take good 600-700 Mhz coppermines and laser zap the cache... Intels marketing and PR is nothing short of stellar vs AMDs which is virtually non-existant. They are preannouncing and vapor launching all the way to Willy...while AMD shareholders have to rely on engineers and earnings...along with great lulls between positive news. AMDs other great faults are lack of an SMP chipset and better control of chipsets and motherboards. I can see why Intel went into the chipset motherboard business...cuts down on a lot of real time beta testing and product lag... Rambus and i820 not included..that was more of a strategic error. Solano is helping... Jim
