To All Old Aretians. One of our friends here, Albert Rice has passed away. Here is an e-mail, (I received while on vacation), which I'd like to share with all of you..
Dear Friends, This is Suzanne Bradley, Al Rice's daughter. It is with sadness I am writing to you. On Wednesday July 5th, Al passed away peacefully at home. I know his correspondence with you all brought him great joy and made his life richer. He was a kind and caring man, and we will miss him dearly. Very truly yours, Suzanne Bradley
For those of you who does not know, Al was 100% disabled due to pains, he was dependant of strong medication most of the time. I send Suzanne following reply, which she shared with Wendy (his love) and the rest of the family.
Dear Suzanne and Family.
I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I'm also sorry that the distance and too much everyday work on my part didn't allow for me really to get proper aquainted and nurse a friendship with Albert.
I guess you are the mother of Mathew Scott. He has just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago. I know that his birth was doing Al good. I did not chat/e-mail with Al for more than a year. I understood he lived a full life, been there done that, both good and things to regret, yet still wanting to learn and experience. My feeling is also that he was kind and caring. Honest and with a fine sense of integrity are "labels" I'd like to add.
Alberts pains are now over - I wish and hope your pain will soon be replaced with the long lasting loving memory of him.
Kind regards Jens Tingleff Denmark ------------------------------ If you had a relationship with Al, and was not informed, and want to send condolence to the family, then please PM me for Suzanne's e-mail adr.
