Further if a company had (-$1) per share losses and now has (-0.5$) loss this does not mean the "earnings" rose 50% as you may suggest.
Based on your profile you are interested in so called "new era" stocks (AMCC, ARBA, ATON, CREE, FDRY, GMST, INKT, JDSU, NTAP,PMCS, QCOM, SEBL, SNDK ) of which a majority are noting more than blue hopes and a medium to satisfy the urge for gambling not investing.
