Oh dear- is bear meat good? Well, you're a great cook- so I'm sure you'll come up with something very Bear a la Gourmet-- did he mention just how the bear was going to get into the frying pan?
I will be the one wearing full Arabian robes, veils, a large straw hat with a brim three feet in diameter, total Sunblock enhanced with a thick layer of zinc oxide, and those wrap around sunglasses they give you after you have drops put in your eyes.
Last week I went to the dermatologist for a body check, and she told me there was a small red place on my nose that she wanted to freeze off before it causes trouble. SOUnds like trouble already, don't you think? It's the beginning of the end. Here I've been worrying about colon cancer and liver cancer and pancreatic cancer, all of which have klled my relatives in large numbers, and I'm going to die of nose cancer. She said , "My you really did some damage to yourself." She is 14 maybe 15 years old and I doubt her skin has ever been in the sun. The whole office staff looks like that- I wondered if someone with acne scars could sue for discrimination - there is NO way they'd get hired in that place. DOn't you think about that? Like do you have to have perfect teeth to work in the orthodontist's office? WOuld it be the same as having to speak decent English to answer phones? Part of the job requirements?
And why did I feel compelled to apologize to her for destroying my poor pale skin as a teenager? I grew up in the 60s. And I would sooner have shaved my head than not have a tan. Suntan lotion was baby oil and iodine. It worked for me. Although my tans always had sort of a strange orange tint. You've dyed your skin, said my mother. No, I would hiss, it's a GOLDEN TAN.
My brother just told me he had trouble spots on his bald head. I laughed without sympathy. He had white blonde hair and he tanned great as a teen. I hated him a lot in the summer. So I am glad he is paying for it now.
NO FISH ON THE WALLS. It would drive Tesh and Myers insane. I think you can take what you want and then the marina will take the rest. Assuming we catch anything. ANd there's always the chance that I'll get emotional about killing something. That happens when I see something struggling to live.. Not bears that are circling my cabin, though. I would let them kill the bear. |
