Imation Expands Engineering Document Imaging Capabilities With
Quintek Alliance

OAKDALE, Minn., Jul 11, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Imation to sell, install and service Quintek's
 Dry Aperture Card Plotter System

Imation Corp. (NYSE: IMN chart, msgs) today announced an alliance with Quintek Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:
QTEK chart, msgs) which allows Imation to sell, install and service Quintek's 4300 Aperture Card Imaging System under a
worldwide distribution program. The alliance strengthens Imation's portfolio of products and services for large-format
document imaging customers. Imation now has the ability to provide customers in the manufacturing, engineering, utilities,
transportation and design industries with a chemical free and environmentally safe aperture card production system.

"Our agreement with Quintek allows us to offer customers a cost effective and environmentally favorable means for producing
aperture cards directly from CAD and raster image files," said John Foggo, global document imaging manager for Imation
Digital Solutions and Services. "Many customers require master aperture cards for archiving, distributing and referencing
digital information in `eye-readable' format. The Quintek equipment aligns with our other product offerings, furthering
Imation's objective to provide large-format customers with a single source and complete solution for managing and storing
critical information."

Imation leverages thirty years of film-based image expertise, key alliances and global market leadership in the sale of analog
document imaging equipment to provide incremental and full-scale solutions to help customers adopt digital technologies at
their own speed without slowing productivity and disrupting workflows.

"Imation's market leadership, global distribution network, and top notch customer service capability will dramatically enhance
Quintek's market presence and provide customers with worldwide access to a valuable technology," stated Tom Sims,
Quintek's President & CEO.
