"The sale of PCS to Advance Paradigm could spell trouble for Drugstore.com. The online pharmacy signed a 10-year partnership agreement with PCS to provide the crucial reimbursements that online retailers lack by themselves. While Mr. Halbert promised to honor that contract, he noted that Advance Paradigm has its own online pharmacy. A spokeswoman for Drugstore.com said its contract with PCS "is structured to withstand any change in control.""
