Dave, regarding the massive satellite communications initiative in China to bring education to rural areas, you asked:

Not without tons of banner ads obscuring the abc's. Seriously.

Speaking of banner ads, here's an interesting page I came across, thanks to Steve T. who brought this most unusual web site (see below) to my attention. It's a little rough in spots <cough>, as the url itself, demonstrates.

But it speaks a ton of horse sense amidst the carnage it reveals. For those who have been adamantly skeptical of the bubblisms of the past couple of years, and for those of you who might be viewing today's startup incubators with much the same level of caution, this page is for you. The squeamish need not go beyond this point.
