You know my feelings on the matter.

As with many things, the decision on a riding mower has lots of implications. Deck size, horsepower, wheelbase, they all matter. But, if you buy something less than a Deere, you also have to be sure you can wake up the next morning, look yourself in the mirror and respect yourself.

If that's not important to you, by all means, get a Murray, an MTD or, God forbid, a Craftsman. But if you're the man I know you are, you'll dip into the kids' college fund and march right down to the local Deere dealer and plunk down the bucks. You'll thank yourself. Your kids will thank you, even if they end up going to the local Community College part-time.
