I learned just yesterday that there is potentially a chunk of spectrum coming up for auction that could eventually fill that bill.

What is of interest is that the FCC is not setting any restrictions on what the spectrum is to be used for. How unbureaucratic. And its a nice frequency for wall penetration. Goodbye roof antennae. Well, maybe not.... <g>

I loved Nacchio's comment about the whole thing though. After the madness of the British auction for 3G spectrum I can see why he'd call the whole thing a possible disaster.
Do you think the successful bidders in Britain will be able to claim mad cow disease as a defense in bankruptcy court? <w>
