re YHOO now up 12 after hours to 117.... Shorts covering.... Gonna get mowed down tomorrow. I think you're off on this one. The AH was not just shorts covering. Ended AH session at 121. Positive tone of CC bodes well for YHOO today (compared to yesterday's day close of 105). This from briefing> Tuesday After Hours : Better-than-expected earnings from Yahoo! (YHOO) gave the after hours session a positive slant as the company exceeded the consensus estimate by 2 cents. Yahoo! has taken a beating in previous session, but today's numbers appear to have restored investor confidence as the issue has gained more than 13 points after the bell. This encouraging news should carry into tomorrow and perhaps help give the Nasdaq and the Internet sector a nice boost. The S&P 500 futures contract closed 1.9 points below fair value and are currently trading up 4.5. The Nasdaq futures closed 10 points below fair value but have bounced back this afternoon by 62.5. - Jay Jones, Briefing.com
