PAL: Hate to intrude between you and your fellow option expert MM, but on one statement you made I have a suggestion: a grain, or even better a bucket of salt re: the conventional wisdom - its often wrong - and that is what this statement reflects - a bit of skepticim may be in order:

Your "Ultimately, it seems that WCDMA will be the standard that is universally adopted. It is not the best since there is CMDA2000. In the negotiation of give and take QCOM will have no choice but to accept that."

Maybe, but maybe not. A long, long, long time to go before that happens. And it could also be that outside Europe CDMA2000 is dominant.

Note: What emerges may be called "WCDMA" but be CDMA2000 in drag - such as the Korean "WCDMA" which is backward compatible to CDMAOne and MC 1X. Or simply, a compromise.

Best.
