Hi Arno, good question

this is a PM I just sent to Mike and was going to send
it to Jorjie as well:

mike, you are right about the genome weakness..they are
the canaries in the coal mine as they doe not firm revenue
and earnings numbers and the foward visability is low.
Excellent eye.

the nasd, djia and spx are at a critical areas, all are
trying to break out but the signs of a significant
top are all over the place... regardless of how good
Q2 earnings are Q3 should not be as robust and the Y/Y comparisions get harder.

even John Bollinger was on cnbc showing that we have many
fewer earning surprises on the upside.

I am putting stops in on almost 75% of the portfolio.

(I'm going on vacation friday, I spent 4 days in reno,
right at the time of the last top)

and these are hard stops with the brokers. I have not
had that level of hard stops in a long time, but
it's the only prudent thing to do.

many of the stop will allow a 10% decline.

you mean you get Briefing.com and do not look at it?

I love their work, especially the FX and credit market
coverage, I've gotten that on a delayed basis for free
from the WSJ electronic addition, but live time is cool.

John
