"The key to Qualcomm's success in the next 2 to 3 years is data. For which read, mobile wireless access to the internet/intranets. The key to that is HDR or its kissin' cousin 1xEV (HDR with bells and whistles)."

Why limit HDR's potential contribution to mobile? As an alternative to the $40-$200/mo.for fixed DSL, shouldn't it be able to take Q into a whole new revenue stream with very high margins? And, even if CDMA overlay is precluded in Europe, is there any reason to doubt that fixed HDR will be available worldwide? Jack
