Steven was talking about the story related in the Bible that has been translated- not some other story that might or might not exist, though not have been translated properly, and be consistent with something else. I don't think he was taking anything as true- except for the fact that the words written down in the Bibles he has read conform to the following: [the] "creation story recounted in the bible is totally inconsistent with any available evidence. "
