>>>A discount broker gets $20 per trade while the sluts make $billions per deal

I prefer the discount brokers! They make money either way, and have low overhead (No million dollar salaries!)
The 'sluts' only make money on IPOs or secondaries, which have dried up. The brokers just need volume. I believe a consolidation will happen, and I think NDB may be gobbled up. Also, the downside is quite limited now. In fact, AMTD is beginning to look very appetizing. Maybe I will put in a buy-stop.
