Fact: Father knew, supported and welcomed his wife leaving with his child to escape to freedom -- proof is in the publicly acknowledged phone calls to the family in Florida. Father only asked for boy after being pressured by Castro in my opinion. Also in my opinion, us gov't handling of the situation was politically motivated, setting stage for opening relations with cuba . Fwiw, i think that's a good ide, open markets leading to more open societies. Finally, as for the crazy cuban americans, what would you do if you escaped tyranny, but your family and friends were killed by that tyranny or live without freedom and opportunity?
