If you were actually to investigate Harry Browne's website, you would clearly see that his platform does NOT have an emphasis on drug legalization, and even where it is addressed, it is in terms of the outrageous misconduct of the Federal Government. If you watch the four 60 second TV commercials, I believe you will find the War on Drugs mentioned just once, as a part of a laundry list of government stupidities. If drug legalization is some kind of centerpoint, Harry Browne's campaign expenditures are certainly missing the target.

Of course what you are really referring to is perceptions, including your own. To the extent that people are not encouraged to face their many misperceptions about both government and the LP, then to that extent the LP campaign will have fallen short.
