Re: European 3G Auctions, Bidder Field Narrows Hi Bernard, What is happening in the pre-auction manoeuvering in Holland and Germany would indicate that the industry is realizing how out-of-scale the British auction was. Several of the potential bidders have dropped out of these auctions and others are consolidating their efforts. The result is that there are very subdued expectations for prices in these upcoming auctions. Britain was an anomaly, and I feel certain that some relief from these irrational bids will have to be forthcoming sometime within the next couple years. Pure speculation on my behalf.
