HDL,
Hi!!
RE: It's actually much simpler this way. . . The Wall Street Journal reported that Dell was going to stop making its Web PC. This was announced with much fanfare some time ago, and the stock was excited about this prospect when it was announced. Now that they are canceling it, the stock was up again. It appears that Dell's prices were uncompetitive with offerings from other competitors (not the least of which would be Emachines). Sometimes good news is good news and bad news is good news, too. In this case, announcing a product is good and canceling it is also good. It's just the way it continues to work in the mania.

Partially...Perhaps it may have been initiated to keep others from climbing rapidly in the food chain...
:o)

Best, Kemble
