Hubert, The spike on 4/9/97 coincides with a press release!!! It was the infamous one where DW finally admitted ignorance of the way the market works! After several days of high volume and big losses, he came out and said, in effect.. well golly gee, I just can't figure out what is happening here...I think we are a real good company...followed by misrepresnatations of the company's financial picture (this is of course paraphrased). The price spiked a bit... then settled back down.. I never figured out why just before the April 9 release the trading went into the millions of shares for a couple of days... and the price dropped by about half ?? In any case, this sort of volume hasn't occured for almost 2 years. That was when there were people that actually believed this company might be successful someday. A $0.15 gain might sound impressive..(on April 9) but keep in mind this stock once traded for almost $8 !!
