Lucius: True wisdom. Yours makes Avril Harriman's seem dated.

Besides he is no longer here, and you and I are.

Slighly more seriously, if and that is the big if, you see Qualcomm as both gorilla and disruptive innovator, then time is what is crucial. So the stock makes that irrelevant, but to get most bang for the buck a few far out LEAPS for frosting on the stock cake may be worth trying.

And if so, as I have suggested to tekboy, the real bet is farthest out in time and farthest out of the money. But only for Qualcomm and only due to the data wireless / internet timetable using 1X/HDR in speed in 2002.

Particularly for old guys like us, if we live through Jan 2003. If not, good for our heirs. Well lets hope that we collect personally - best outcome, no?

But again, a mixture of stock and LEAPS is a very "wise" approach (perhaps) - if any LEAPS at all.

Best - and respect.
