| TB, New Orleans is alright, and can be a lot of fun, if you watch out for tourist traps. A lot of good music, good food, and some good drinks at the right places. For music, you got Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, The Reunion Hall, and the back room at the Old Absinthe House. Drinks are good in the patio at Pat O'Briens, The Old Absinthe House, and, I forget a few others. Drink the Zombies at Pat's inside, where they have a good show also. There are so many 5 star eating places that I cannot begin to name them. Try to stay in one of the nicer hotels in the French Quarter. It makes it so you can walk anywhere you want to go. The streets are too narrow to do much driving anyway. Do not go at Mardi Gras time. It is too crowded to have any fun, unless you just want to stay drunk, and do crazy things. ~H~ |
