Nancy, there is no hardening simply because I have used the Words of Jesus to secure my positional belief in Preturism.

I believe that it was you that said because there were partial and full preturist beliefs that we are confused among ourselves as to what to believe. I have heard Christians say this is bunk because we have not carried the Gospel to the whole world. I beg to differ with them. We have brought the Gospel to the whole world as it was known during the times of the Apostles. If you will pull out a map of the known world then, it may give you a clearer idea when I quote this verse in Col.

"23if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister."
Col. 1:23

Now I believe that the word of God is correct, don't you?

To me, one of the most important proofs of Christ and the divine interpretation of the Bible is the accurate prediction of the destruction of the Temple and the fall of Jerusalem. These prophesies from the Olivet Discourse are certainly widely known to have been written before 70AD. The Jews, and (including you apparently) disbelieve that this could never happen. You know that they were really angry at Christ. Most certainly he was a false prophet in their eyes.

Matthew 24:
"3Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for £all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, £pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
15“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’£ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25See, I have told you beforehand."

Oh, by the way, it was well known in the times of the Apostles that the abomination of desolation foretold by Daniel was none other than Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus, more commenly known as "Nero"
Nero was a beast and was the relevant person talked about in the Discourse. He murdered his family, castrated a "boy" that he had married, brutally murdered his pregnant wife by kicking her to death. Pliny the Elder described him as "the destroyer of the human race." and "the poison of the world." Tacitus spoke of Nero's "cruel nature" that put to death so many innocent men."

The most critical question concerning Nero, however, was his relation to the number "666." The Hebrew spelling of Nero's name was "Nrwn Qsr" pronounced Neron Kaiser. Note this: It has been documented by arcchaeological finds that a first century Hebrew spelling Nero's name provides us precisely with the value of 666. Marcus Jastrow's lexicon of the Talmud contains this very spelling.

Now I asked you before to answer yes or no to these Bible verses. If you answer yes then you will have to reconsider all of the charges that you have been leveling against me and hopefully this will be the end of your crusade against the Preturist doctrines. By the way, many partial preturist beliefs are found in most Churches today.

" For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes."
Matthew 10:23

"28Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
Matthew 16:28

This is a powerful one and the meaning is clear. A generation is 40 years.

"30Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 31Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."
Mark 13:30,31.

If Christ made this declaration between A.D. 30-33 then the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D.70 would fit perfectly with in the time frame of Jesus' prediction.

Ther are also many records to prove that their was many false christs. The country was full of robbers, magicians, false messiahs, and imposters who deluded the people.

Now if I were to continue, Nancy, supplying you with proofs of the Parousia I would still be here typing at 7 a.m. in the morning. But this is unnecessary, I believe, I have supplied you with proof that cannot be denied without denying Christ's Words. The last time I did this you answered none of my questions but started talking about believing more in the Old Testament.

Now here is a start for you to follow, before God and this thread and I hope that you will spend your time productively, rather than accusing those of us who are trying our best to help rather than hinder.

James
