truman, i would enjoy a call in by gary.....mainly b/c he can convey his points in a non-argumentative and common sense manner..... the thrashing as you call it will continue......the main reason being the difference in philosophies......the difference is so tremendous that it would be like a catholic priest deciding after 30 yrs he had it wrong and that he now wants to be a buddhist monk.......as i have said before not many brokers appear to be like gary......you can tell gary cares about his clients in a sincere way.....thus, you will have ample callers supporting brinkers verbal rampages...... i just had a conversation with a friend......her father was just sold a stock fund with a load.....he has never been in the market before....he is 80.....and he has no idea what he paid in fees...no existing portfolio analysis,etc....and yes some of this is his fault....but if you read the law the agent has no fiduciary responsibility to disclose the fees.....someone correct me if i am wrong....i think it may have recently changed...... as always i enjoy your posts truman.....you bring a unique perspective to the thread.....keep up the informative posts....... lars
