They adjust salaries on two bases: one, to make sure that they are in line with the market, and two, to compensate for inflation. I merely point out that both functions tend to ameliorate the effect of gradual tax increases. To my knowledge, neither thing is particularly unusual, but I cannot say what the actual percentage of persons affected is. In any event, the intent was not to "go through hoops", but to try to get you to make an actual argument, not merely engage in denunciation. I am beginning to think that it is a futile enterprise to try to get you to support a position........
