But, doesn't the government in some strange ways help the creation of real wealth? The Internet after all is the DOD's baby from the late 60s early 70s. Think of all the wealth that has been created in the private sector from the Internet iniative. I find it funny that libertarians use the Internet to bash the federal government, when the federal government created it in the first place. Also, all that corporate welfare pork does shore up the finances of some of the companies that suck it in and provides a lot of jobs. I don't think there's a problem with real wealth in this country. Last time I checked the U.S. was the wealthies country in the world.
