Electro Scientific Unveils 300mm Wafer Sorter Series

PORTLAND, Ore. -(Dow Jones)- Electro Scientific Industries Inc. (ESIO) unveiled its multi-loadport sorting platform for use in 300mm wafer processing, the company said in a press release Wednesday.
The announcement follows close on the heels of a spate of similar launches, including Applied Materials Inc.'s (AMAT) launch of seven 300mm production systems for advanced interconnects, which the company began Monday.
Electro Scientific recently changed hands at 55, up 7 3/8, or 15.5%, on Nasdaq volume of 3.1 million shares. The daily average volume is 483,670 shares. |
