American Trust & Savings Receives Positive Results Using Advanced Customer Relationship Management Solution From SEDONA

LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2000--

Intarsia CRM System Helping Bank Win New Accounts

American Trust & Savings Bank, Dubuque, Iowa, recently won 400 new savings and checking accounts through a direct mail campaign that targeted prospects identified through its new Intarsia(TM) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solution supplied by SEDONA(R) Corporation (NASDAQ: SDNA) (www.sedonacorp.com).

The bank used several components of SEDONA's Intarsia CRM product, including its database management and query building tools, to identify potential clients impacted by recent bank mergers in Iowa. Using Intarsia's ability to enhance and analyze customer and prospect data and present it back visually, the bank created a neighborhood-specific, personalized, direct mail campaign to go after these hot prospects.

The Intarsia system has begun to play a key role in helping American Trust to improve its marketing activities and the profitability of its products as well as manage customer relationships throughout the bank.

"Sedona's Intarsia product helps us get a better picture of our customers, who they are, what products and services they have and how profitable they are," said Julie Reittinger, direct response marketing coordinator, American Trust & Savings. "Once we have that picture, it helps us create better sales and service models to attract and retain those customers."

Ms. Reittinger explained that American Trust is using Intarsia for several activities including direct mail projects for various offices, generating reports to measure the bank's marketing efforts, identifying the bank's most profitable customers and creating programs to address them, identifying less profitable customers and finding ways to make them more profitable, developing cross-selling programs and creating sales, service and cross-selling reports.

"Our Intarsia customer relationship management solution is designed to help small-to-mid-sized financial institutions like American Trust & Savings to identify and focus on their most profitable clients and create programs designed to increase marketing return on investment," said Alyssa Dver, Vice President of Marketing, SEDONA. "The successful experience of American Trust & Savings typifies the strategic advantage that our advanced CRM solution can provide."
