Regarding the non-compete issue, I haven't had time to relocate the comments from the Vik interview on the EXDS deal. However, my recollection is that because of the EXDS investment in MI, MI agreed not to market their service to competitor web hosting facilities (i.e. GC). They would still be able to market to individual companies served by competitors, although this would obviously be more time consuming than marketing through the hosting entity. Thus I believe that a EXDS-GC merger would greatly enhance MI's marketing efficiency and access to many more companies.
