Global Telecomunications Giant Doubles Order with COM DEV Wireless
Remaining Contract Value Increases to CDN $50 Million
RICHARDSON, TX, July 13 /CNW/ - COM DEV Wireless, one of the two major operating divisions of Cambridge, Ontario based, COM DEV International Ltd. (TSE:CDV), has received an order to double production of RF conditioning systems for a major global wireless telecommunications company based in Europe. The additional order will increase the estimated value of COM DEV's contract for the remainder of 2000 and the following year to in excess of CDN $50 million. The RF conditioning systems, which will be used in North American wireless Base Stations, will be manufactured at COM DEV's Moncton, New Brunswick facility in Canada. COM DEV Wireless manufactures wireless infrastructure systems and subsystems used in microwave and radio frequency systems primarily for major PCS wireless equipment vendors and full service system integrators worldwide.
