Some of those rules are right on the money.
<Life is not fair>
How many times have I mentioned this to you on this thread and via PM over the last year?
<The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.>
Unless someone is a true friend or a member of your immediate family, all they care about is what they can get get out of you and profit.
<Television is NOT real life>
TV is sometimes evil because it tries to change the way you think and to get you to conform to the public self or consensus. Most TV Programming hates individual creative expression. The Great British Romantic Poets, Shelley, Bryon, Keats, Coleridge and Byron, along with the great existential philosophers, like Thoreau, Emerson, Nietzsche, Sartre, Kierkegaard, Heidegger ( I know he was a NAZI for a while), all knew that Society was a game to be played and by in large the realm of Untruth. Truth needs to confront Untruth to test its resolve.
Socrates stated the bottom line a long time ago, Richard: Know thyself and always act in accordance with who you are and what you can live with. |
