Price objectives are only a guide - they were never meant to be absolute. It gives an idea of the momentum in the stock and where that momentum can carry it. Now, if something happens to the stock in the meantime, the momentum can change.

In general, if a stock has a broad base, a real broad base of 7 columns or more, the horizontal is good. If the count comes from no base but from a strong up move a vertical is preferred.
