very well written, gave me a nice chuckle.

The best answer I can give you is that SYMC had soft retail sales for the first two months of this quarter. PC Data, pcdata.com, tracks this kind of information and analysts and institutions use it routinely to judge when to get in or out of retail stocks.

It also seems that major hedge funds (shorts) use this info for a quick downside buck.

Doing some homework, it looks as if this company has been played like this for many years. It's virtually a guaranteed profit!

All signals that I'm aware of are saying that SYMC will make their quarter numbers. I would suggest you go to multexinvestor.com and buy the latest report by the Prudential analyst($25?). It will give you more in depth insight on this issue.
