For the Thread: I wanted to share a fill experience with you. On April 17, I entered an order BEFORE the market opened with Brown & Co to buy RFMD at the market. The ask was 68. When I got a confirmation at 9:50, I was filled at 78 7/8. When I called, I was told about "fast market conditions" and that the broker (Ken Pasternak's firm-- Knight) had turned off their autoexecution function. I wrote two letters to Brown complaining about this fill. I told them "if you won't fill me at 68, I want o go to arbitration." Today's mail brings a letter from Brown's Compliance Manager-- you're filled at 68. I pass this along for the benefit of all.
